Choir (SATB) and organ, 5 minutes. Commissioned by the Choir at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Text: Romans 10:17-18. Mostly unison lines with a contrapuntal section near the end. The anthem was written for the Feast of St. Andrew, but the text is also appropriate for Pentecost. Faith comes from what is heard,

and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ.

But I ask, have they not heard?

Indeed they have for

Their voice has gone out to all the earth,

and their words to the ends of the world.

Amen.
